Rachel Horton-Kitchlew is a professional Contemporary Harpist and composer, passionate about music. She is currently based just outside of London, having been performing all over the globe aboard Cunard’s fiver star ships, The Queen Victoria and The Queen Mary 2.

Her passionate performances have taken her to many exciting and adventurous venues. As a musician she has played at many functions and weddings and performed in notable places such as Saint Nicolas Church in Prague, Monserrat Monastery of Barcelona, Barcelona Cathedral and Hyde Park Barracks.

She also holds several residencies at top five star London and large country house hotels in and around Berkshire and Buckinghamshire as well as Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Rachel has played at events with such people attending as Mary Berry, Terry Wogan and Princess Anne. Rachel was also chosen by Fatboy Slim to play in London to announce his tour.

She’s currently working with a spoken word rap artist and really enjoys exciting new collaborations like these and is always open for new ideas.

Rachel was offered a contract aboard the most prestigious of all Cunard Ships, The Queen Mary 2 as a soloist, at the young age 22 and has now completed her second contract, aboard the Queen Victoria.

Rachel began her musical learning in Saint George’s School in Windsor Castle, with the principle harpist at the time, for the HRH The Prince Of Wales, Louisa Maria Cordell. She then went onto private lessons inside Eton College with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s harpist Sally Pryce and was also tutored by Los Angeles based Sarah Goss. She has also been under direction by many other wonderful harpists, including Jazz harpist Tara Miton and Suzy Willison Kawalec.
